Vintage Zeiss Ikon Ikomatic F 126 film camera, made in West Germany and dating from approximately the mid-1960s.
Introduced in 1964, the Ikomatic F was designed for Kodak's easy-loading 126 cartridge film system and features a Zeiss Ikon Frontar 40mm f/11 lens, simple zone focusing and a built-in pop-up flash reflector.
This example has been tested and is working correctly.
The camera is in good cosmetic condition, with normal signs of age and previous use.
The Ikomatic F has two shutter speeds. In normal daylight use it operates at approximately 1/90 second, while opening the flash reflector automatically changes the shutter speed to approximately 1/30 second.
The built-in flash system was designed to use AG1 or AG3 disposable flash bulbs. No flash bulb is included.
Please note that the camera uses 126 cartridge film, which has been discontinued and is now a specialist vintage film format.
The camera itself does not require a battery for normal daylight photography. A separate 15V battery is required for the flash-bulb circuit.
A nice example of an unusual 1960s Zeiss Ikon camera and an interesting addition to a vintage camera collection.
No flash bulb or film is included.
