Vintage Itorex MC 28mm f/2.8 manual-focus wide-angle prime lens in Canon FD mount.
This is a compact 28mm lens offering a noticeably wider field of view than a standard 50mm lens, making it suitable for landscapes, architecture, street photography and general use.
The lens has a useful f/2.8 maximum aperture and is marked MC, indicating multi-coated optics.
This example is in good, clean condition, with normal light signs of age and previous use.
The glass appears clean and the aperture operates correctly. The focusing mechanism operates as expected.
The lens also offers close focusing to approximately 0.3 metres, with reproduction-ratio markings on the focusing scale for close-up photography.
The rear mount has been identified from the photographs as Canon FD bayonet mount.
It is suitable for Canon FD-mount 35mm SLR cameras including models such as the Canon AE-1, AE-1 Program, A-1, AV-1, AT-1, FTb, F-1 and T90.
It can also be adapted for use with many modern mirrorless digital cameras using an appropriate Canon FD adapter.
