Vintage Cimko MT Series MC 50mm f/1.7 manual-focus prime lens, made in Japan and dating from approximately the late 1970s to early 1980s.
This example has been tested and is working correctly.
The lens is in good, clean condition, with normal light signs of age and previous use.
The optics are clean and the focusing and aperture mechanisms operate correctly.
The fast f/1.7 maximum aperture makes this a useful standard lens for low-light photography, portraits and general everyday photography, while the 50mm focal length gives a natural field of view when used on a 35mm film camera.
The lens is marked MC, indicating multi-coated optics.
From examination of the rear mount, this particular example has been identified as Pentax K / PK bayonet mount.
It is suitable for many manual-focus Pentax K-mount cameras as well as compatible K-mount bodies from manufacturers such as Ricoh and Chinon.
It can also be adapted for use with many modern mirrorless digital cameras using an appropriate Pentax K adapter.
